In order to lower the investment costs for smaller buildings (up to 40 meters), when it comes to reading water meters in one place with remote data transmission over the telephone network, we have developed a type of central MO-11. Since the plant has IP 65 protection it is not necessary to place it in boxes but is prepared for
wall mounting. For this reason we deliver drawings on request.
Simple and Reliable:
The CMC MO-11 meter reading unit is specially designed for the control and display of water consumption data of up to 40 consumers. The water meters need to be equipped with a pulse output, which can be via a standard, possibly two-wire telephone cable connected to the meter reading unit.
The cable can be up to 150 m long while its impedance may not exceed 100 Ohm. The maximum pulse frequency is 20 Hz, the minimum pulse width is 25 msec. The unit is particularly suitable for applications in apartment blocks, where the consumption is calculated according to the overall consumption based on a deducting water meter.
The data from the meter reading unit can be obtained from a LCD display with the help of a keyboard, by using the M-Bus protocol via the RS-232 interface or via a modem (optional item, reading software required). Up to 7 MO-11 meter boxes can be connected via a RS485 interface to one main box, while each of these boxes carries its own address.
Upon power failure the box can typically operate 36 hours driven by the integrated battery. In such cases the GSM communication is not available till power supply returns.
