REMOTE METER READING VIA RADIO SYSTEM

Advantages of remote reading:

•  Higher speed and number of performed readings;
•  Faster processing of the data – faster calculation;
•  Reading without disturbing the user;
•  No human factor errors; no wrong reading or presence at the area of reading;
•  Fast detection and removal of defects caused by malfunction of the meter or installation.

Possibilities of remote reading:
•SCAN SYSTEM – pulse water meter reading at the measurement site – electronic meter reading using manual terminal (electronic meter reading -- EMR);
•RADIO SYSTEM- Reading in the field – pulse water meter reading near the measurement site – electronic reading while walking or driving(offsite meter reading - OMR);
•RADIO SYSTEM- landline networks;
•M-BUS SYSTEM – automatic reading of pulse meters (automatic meter reading - AMR).

CORONIS system:
CORONIS wireless meter reading system is intended for receiving, processing and transmission of impulses from the meter (eg. water meter) via radio. Transmission and data processing is implemented by the program developed and tested by CMC Controlmatic Commerce d.o.o. Elements of the system like modules, modems, concentrators and similar) are manufactured by „Coronis Systems“ France. Reading speed is up to 300 meters per minute.

Units of CORONIS system:
1. Meters with pulse output - (as in M-Bus system);
2. Coronis radio modules SW IP65/68 433/868 MHz and DW IP65/68 433/868 MHz;

SW Radio module 433/868 MHz enables  connection of one, two or four different meters with pulse output.

The main characteristics of the module:
•Power supply via built-in battery (life span of up to 10 years);
•IP65 or IP68 protection ;
•Operating frequency 433 / 868 MHz ;
•Range up to 1 km (in field of sight) ;
•One-way (type SW) or two-way (type DW) communication ;
•The ability to accept 4 states simultaneously;
•Programmable data logging, alarms and measurement periods.

3. Coronis radio receivers  - concentrators

Portable radio modem XPORT is intended to collect data from radio module and transfer them to PC.

Basic features of the receiver :
•Operating frequency 433 / 868 / 915 MHz;
•Power supply  RS232 or USB port;
•Range up to 1 km (in field of sight) -  up to 200 m (in closed premises);
•Serial RS232 or USB port;
•Activity: point-to-point, repetition, selective search...;
•Built-in antenna;
•Compatible to Windows 2000, Windows CE.

Radio modem XPORT is a wall mount model and is intended to collect data from radio module as a concentrator.
