Characteristics:
The gaskets have a steel core, which serves as a bearing element. The metal part assumes the force of the crush and static pressure. The rubber part of the gasket is very little loaded on the juncture which enables repeated use and long life.
Profiled gaskets have a vulcanised O-ring which provides complete sealing and seven times lesser tightening torque than the classic gaskets. As a result, the stress and deformation of the bolt and flange are reduced.
The gaskets are made of various materials, the choice of which depends on the purpose of use.
